  Our first night on the Outer Banks we went to the Captain's Table, and the meal was so disappointing. The meat was cooked to the point of being dried up, the baked potato had been cooked till it was scorched on the outside and tasted like it on the inside, and the coleslaw was swimming in a watery mayonnaise like concoction. The hush puppies arrived hot but began hardening from the oil as they lost the initial warmth and ended up being a hard, compact ball. This was not a good introduction to the Outer Banks...certainly not a good choice for a meal. A ten year old could have cooked a better meal.

  I went tonight with two other people. They were not busy. Waited for 10 minutes and no one came and got our drink order. One person in my party went and told the host we had been waiting over 5 minutes to which she replied "5 minutes that's not long at all". There was not even a sorry. We ended up leaving. We ate there last year and the food was over cooked . We did end up having it taken off our check at that time. I will never go back again. Two times is enough for me. There are much better places to eat on the Outeebanks than waste your time here.

  One of the better restaurants in the area. Good comfort food, attentive service. Really nothing fancy just good down home cooking.
